Girl accuses youth of sexual harassment in name of marriage

A girl from Hehal under Barkakana police station in Ramgarh district has accused a young man of CCL Colony Nayanagar Barkakana of sexually abusing her on the pretext of marriage, blackmailing her, demanding money and threatening to kill her.

The victim filed an FIR at Barkakana Police Station, Ramgarh to take action against the accused. The girl revealed in her complaint that they used to study in the same high school. On May 18, 2020, a man called her home to meet his sister. When he saw her alone, he forcibly became physical with her. He then threatened her with consequences if she told anyone about this test. The victim claims she did not complain about it out of fear.

He then repeatedly forced her into physical relations and assaulted her, made videos with her and began blackmailing her. He also demanded money. As the victim had no money, she claims to have sold a gold chain weighing 10 grams and a gold earring.

On February 6, 2023, the accused specifically called on Instagram and said that he would marry another girl and remain associated with her separately. She then went from Ranchi to Patna to meet him without informing anyone. However, he did not meet her, the victim claims that she was cheated because the accused promised to marry her. The victim demanded justice and demanded proper legal action against the accused.

The police started investigating the case.
